About
Irad Pochtasy, the state postal enterprise of the Irad Special Economic Zone, since 2008 (before that the Territorial Postal Service, 1993-2007). Head office: the Talas Central Post Office, opened 1954. About 190 post offices pay pensions and allowances in som, take letters, parcels, money orders and newspaper subscriptions, and sell the stamps of Irad. International mail goes via Almaty, Kazakhstan.
